About wishingchair

The Wishing Chair was but a wispy dream. The two of us wanted to start a brand that would appeal to us. We wanted a magical and dreamy little space that evoked magic, whimsy and the enchantment of stories we read as children, a store full of nostalgia and the carefree innocence of simpler times.
After much trudging and trawling and trekking through the back-gullies and factory neighborhoods of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Andhra, we opened the doors of our very first (drum roll please!) store in the hipster semi-urban sprawl of ShahpurJat, in the heart of New Delhi circa July 2012. And if you’d like to know more, here’s us in the news.
